ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Residential Finance Team to underwrite, analyze, report on and aid in driving performance of SHAPE’s portfolio of mixed-use development projects. Reporting to the Director of Residential Finance, the role will have significant opportunity to develop a deep understanding and knowledge base of residential real estate finance, development, and sales.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Manage innovative and dynamic financial proformas, cash flows, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis for SHAPE’s portfolio of mixed-use development projects
- Support project underwriting and debt/equity procurement, through the preparation of financing packages and liaising with appraisers, lenders, and external consultants
- Support project approval process with SHAPE’s institutional equity partners
- Coordinate with department leaders on ad-hoc analysis to support key business decisions & to evaluate business development opportunities
- Liaise with various departments to coordinate inputs for development project underwriting, presentations, and reporting
- Support SHAPE’s Market Intelligence function through thoughtful analysis of key market data
- Identify and implement process and system improvements that increase efficiency

Required Training and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Real Estate, or Accounting
- Real estate industry experience preferred
- Designated CPA or CFA
- 4-6 years of experience in financial modelling, analytics, and reporting
Salary Range: $100,000-140,000/year
