ABOUT DESTINATION: DEERFOOT CITY

Deerfoot City is a master-planned retail destination which is currently under redevelopment. The 1.1 million sq. foot transformation will include purposefully designed shopping, dining, and entertainment zones. The unique open-air concept will be brought to life by stunning landscapes and beautiful architecture. With unparalleled access from Alberta’s busiest highway, Deerfoot City will be a vibrant community hub where people can play, gather, shop, and eat. ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Guest Experience team is the face of Destination: Deerfoot City brand. Guest experience begins the moment the guest sets foot on our property. From their arrival on site to when they enter our doors and visit our retailers, restaurants, or services, our objective is to amaze and delight our guests at every opportunity. 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Act as an Ambassador by having the most up to date knowledge on all Centre events and programming, retailer and restaurant information, and Guest Experience offerings
  • Deliver the highest level of guest service to all guests, anticipating needs and creating memorable experiences by going above and beyond
  • Answer all internal and external calls, texts and emails
  • Receive and address guest questions, complaints and feedback
  • Dispatch other departments to communicate guest requests or issues via Angus Anywhere
  • Assist with all offerings such as wayfinding, gift card sales, stroller or wheelchair rentals, lost and found, and concierge services
  • Assist all property management and marketing initiatives such as property inspections, programming, events, summer and holiday activations
  • Tour the site regularly, upholding cleanliness, maintenance standards, and signage guidelines and communicate with Security and Everclean as needed
  • Keep updated on information and expectations using resources like briefing board and Asana
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as required

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong guest experience focus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple departments
  • Takes personal ownership and performs duties in an accurate, and efficient manner
  • Must bring energy to both team and guest environments
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications and Google Workspace

Required Training and Experience

  • 1 year + of experience in a customer facing role
  • Retail and hospitality experience is preferred

Working Conditions

  • Hourly wage: $16-18 (depending on experience)
  • Start date: July 2024 (depending on availability)
  • End date: September 30, 2024
